Drop tower in México
Hurakan Condor
Aaah!A tower more than 100 metres tall with a 100-metre free fall, set in the ruins of an Aztec tower.
The tower recreates a ritual sacrifice to the god Hurakan, among ruins covered in hieroglyphs. It climbs slowly, with views over the whole park and the Mediterranean coast; at the top it waits a few seconds and then, without warning, drops you.
Some of its gondolas tilt the seats forward before the drop, so you stare straight down at the ground.
Who is it for?
For anyone without a fear of heights. The climb is slow and the wait at the top feels long: it’s as much mental as physical.
