Roller coaster in China
Shambhala
Aaah! The tallest roller coaster at PortAventura Park and the one with the biggest drop: a hyper coaster full of huge drops and airtime.
It’s inspired by the legend of Shambhala, a hidden city in the Himalayas said to be the cradle of eternal youth. After the lift hill, which gives you a view of the whole park, comes the longest drop at PortAventura Park.
Then come five camelback hills that lift you out of your seat: it’s a coaster with no inversions, all about speed and airtime. Its layout crosses paths with Dragon Khan, its neighbour in the China area.
Who is it for?
For anyone who wants the park’s tallest, fastest coaster without loops. If big drops make you dizzy, this is the toughest of all.
